Bald eagles are normally seen sitting high in trees or swooping gracefully in the sky. Bald eagles are found along lakes, rivers and coasts where their prey is abundant (e.g. fish, waterfowl, and small mammals).
They nest in Florida from September through October and a pair of eagles may reuse the same nest for many years. Usually there are 1 to 3 eggs laid at a time and both birds hunt and feed the young. The eagle sours with wings flat, beating rather stiffly and shallow. They are a real pleasure to watch.
